Rosie Baxendine

Meet Rosie!

Rosie moved to Perthshire in 2004 and quickly discovered the joy of cycling off-road. In 2016 she started to do small overnight trips to see friends - strapping bags to her bike in any way that she could! This soon escalated to multiday off road adventures in all weathers.

Rosie works part time for The Bike Station in Perth as a Cycle Leader and Trainer working with community groups and also runs her own bikepacking and gravel guiding company. She describes herself as not destination focused - she would rather take her time and live in the moment. She is not out to conquer nature, smash a route in the fastest time or break any records. She is out to immerse herself in the wilds - stopping to appreciate the small beautiful details as well as the vast breath taking landscapes.

Bike(s) – Niner RLT 700x40 gravel bike, Smokestone Mr Harry 29x2.1 monster-cross/adventure bike, A Frankenbike bikepacking rig 27.5x2.1 (a unique mix of parts to create her own ideal bike!)

Qualification(s) - Cycle Leader level 1 & 2, Mountain Bike Leader Level 2, Bikeability Trainer Level 3, Cycling Essential Skills, Velotech Gold, Lowland Leader, 2 day Outdoor First Aide, Mental Health 1st Aid, NEBOSH Managing H&S
